Hi Frank,

Welcome to the forum.

Is there a particular fault with either of the machines, as normally you wouldn't need to update the firmware, as this usually only happens when you change boards and such.

As with all machines there is no way to backup the firmware, but you may be able to upload an older version.

The firmware for the EGX-600, that is at www.rolanddga.com is the latest version and www.rolanddg.com does not feature the firmware for engravers.

Normally you would contact you local service department for the firmware.

Hi Frank,

To check the version of firmware, on both machines, turn the machine on whilst pressing the down arrow key. This should then display the current version.

Hello Perry

Thank you for the answer

I looked on the EGX-300 with the arrow down, I:

To Rom. 2
To boot. 1

I watched the EGX-600 with the arrow down, I:

To Rom. 1.6
To boot. 1.3

So for the EGX-300 I do the update with firmware 3.1?

For the EGX-600 firmware is the same as on the website of Rolanddga
So it is up to date.

I expect your opinion to patch the EGX-300

thank you

Hi Frank,

Before you update the firmware, is there a fault with the machine?

As I have stated previously there is no need to update the firmware unless you are updating the parts of the machine.
