Re: iModela spare bits / blower fan

Yes it took a while trying to force it on! Good to know you haven't bothered, Techsoft said the same. I could see it becoming a nightmare especially if you're trying to change tools mid job :o I will leave it in the box from now on :D Been reading some of your posts about iModela use by the way, ama...

iModela spare bits / blower fan

I have just taken delivery of a second hand iModela, it's looking great based on my first test tonight (milling out some letters in wood) :D I see Techsoft supply most of the spare parts needed, but what about the little green blower fan things? Firstly, are the standard fans designed for the smalle...

Modela MDX-20 Z axis problem

So, after weeks of searching and bidding, I finally won what looked to be a great machine on eBay, an MDX-20 less than a year old. It arrived yesterday, unbelievably badly packed which set alarm bells ringing as to whether the machine would be damaged in transit (the plastic cover thingy was totally...

Re: MPX90 questions, soon to be new owner..

I used to own an MPX 90 for imprinting on stainless steel - it does a great job! I'm not sure whether double printing would damage anything but I'm also not sure it would have much effect? Regarding colouring, I had some success with Rub n Buff - it's a wax based product that you - erm - rub on then...

MDX 15/20 and new SRM

I was planning to buy an MDX 20 in the New Year, Christmas sales permitting. But I understand these have now been discontinued to be replaced with the SRM. The new machine looks better from a milling perspective but a big part of the MDX appeal was the scanning head, but it doesn't look like the SRM...

Re: Vetric software and iModela

Good idea Will, I was also thinking I could mill out the shapes in a thin bit of wood or even Mylar (?) or something and then stick the 'template' to a sticky mat, then the whole lot onto the bed. Then the shapes would be extra secure as they would be in their slots and on the exposed bit of sticky ...

Re: Vetric software and iModela

Thanks for the reply Will, if Aspire works it would be surprising if VCarve Pro didn't, but I guess you never know! I will speak to Vetric tomorrow :D I actually have an EGX-300 already and am thinking of getting an iModela. This might seem like a weird decision as the EGX is a lot more capable, but...

Vetric software and iModela

Does anyone know whether VCarvePro and PhotoVCarve from Vetric will work with the iModela?

looking for a Metaza MPX-80

Hello! I'm new to the Forum and currently have an EGX-300. I used to have a Metaza MPX-90 too, which was great for smaller metal items. I'm now looking to purchase a second hand MPX-80 (cheaper than a 90!) and was just wondering if anyone was looking to sell theirs, or if anyone has any suggestions ...
