Thanks Renniwano, with our items, there not always the same thickness so just the slightest bit out and it is leaving part of the engraving shallow. Hi Ryan, Changed nose cone to one I know hasn't been used. Still same result. Must be the small metal parts sticking to it or something. If I put sticky tape on the tag, no ghosting but to do that and clean all the tags would add lots of time. Have also tried the oil but mixed results. Any other tho...

Ok, take 2, still same issues engraving the metal with nose cone. Engraving into zinc alloy (Spinning) and wasn't having any issues until today. Now it continues to ghost the engraving with a fine marking. Its like the nose cone picks up something and then as it goes around the letters or numbers it...

I think I worked it out, looks like had some metal on the bottom of the nose cone so cleaned it all up and looks ok so far.

Hi Guys I'm using nose cone when engraving tags to ensure get consistent depth but finding it is marking (Like a ghosting) of what I engrave. Hi All, Having an issue as we've setup our second machine (EGX 300) on a laptop with windows Xp. Install Dr Engrave and running it via a USB to parallel cable. If i engrave say using the colour red (Only colour on the template) it will engrave. As soon as I use my jig which has black for the outline...
