Hello all.
My name is Argenti and I am new to the industry. I have a graphic and web design company, and now I'm looking to extend my services to the print world. I have never done this before. I like the Roland software witch - in my opinion - it is easier to use and can help you save time, not to mention that an employee can learn it very fast.
I am looking to buy a print & cut machine and as I search the web, I could find mixed information.
I would like to know more differences of these machines.
From what I know:
VS300i
- White and Metallic
- higher DPI
- good ink (tested for years) for decals, heat transfers, signage etc (from what i've found so far)
SG300:
- Newer machine
- Lower DPI than VS300i
- No white and Metallic (I can leave with this)
- TruVis Ink not that good (fade away - from what i've fond on some forums)
My mainly concern is about the ink and the DPI
Is there a noticeable difference in print quality between those 2 machines? In other words, what could you print on VS300i and not on the SG300 (small fonts, gradients, etc?)
Is the new TruVIS ink bag that good ? Can it least outdoor without lamination, at least 1 year ?
Can it be used for heat transfer and have great results and a long term quality image?
Looking forward to hear from you experience.
Thank you!
Argenti
P.S. Sorry for my English.
VS300i or SG300 - What to buy?
Re: VS300i or SG300 - What to buy?
I would look at getting a demo on the SG-300, the VSi is older technology.
The print quality and the glossiness of the ink on the SG make the print a lot better than was previously achievable.
