Roland SP300i print quality

Post by Cova » Fri Aug 22, 2014 10:50 am

Hi,

I plan to buy a Roland Sp300i
I would like to use it to produce smaller labels, but I'm not satisfied with the quality of printing.
I recently did a test sample, printed at Roland dealer. This example was printed in the best possible quality at 3M vinyl. Zoom in to 200% to see better.
What bothers me is the amount of noise. For example, the color blue in this example is 100% cyan, 0% other colors. But it seems to me as if there is too much noise? Does the Roland SP 300i can make better quality than this?

This is sample from one very cheap wall decal, printed on no name vinyl. Scaned same size like example before.

It's much better quality then one printed on Roland Sp300i, almost without noise. Can I get something close to that with Sp300?

Thank you!

Hi Just looking back over some old posts, did you get this sorted?

I would have gone for the VS-300i altogether better print finish than the SP300/i.

Call me if its still a project.
