BN-20 Will Not Print

Post by floridayankee2 » Tue Apr 15, 2014 2:46 am

I would appreciate anyone's help on this topic. I have a BN-20 that was working fine - cutting and printing, but now when I send a print job to the BN-20 the printer head will move as normal and the vinyl will feed but it will not print. I've done the manual cleaning and the cleaning (normal, medium, etc.) within the BN-20 utility. Not sure what could be wrong. Thank you for your assistance on this manner.

Peform a nozzle test on the machine using the utility, this will determine whether or not the head is firing correctly.

If the nozzle test is ok then there's usually smth wrong with the page size or similar layout issue.

There's TEST PRINT in Roland VersaWorks as well, this should print if the machine is mechanically ok.

I am also having the same issue. The nozzle check and the print test does not print anything out.....I've done the powerful cleanings as well as the manual head cleaning....any additional suggestions?

You'll need a service engineer look at it if there's absolutely nothing on the nozzle check after a powerful cleaning.

Has the machine been unplugged for a long time with inks installed?

We do not use the machine often and we didn't realize that our son had turned off the secondary power....we think it was off for about a week or so.......

Now that I think of it...it wasn't the secondary power, it was the main power :(

Ok, that explains it.

If you have any cleaning liquid left, soak the cap top up to the edge fix the head in place and leave it overnight. Use a syringe with a needle for the operation. Protect your eyes.

Try powerful cleaning in the morning.

sorry for the questions.....I have cleaning liquid left. What exactly do you mean by soak the cap top up to edge? Do you mean on the right hand side of the machine (the pad right past the wipers)? I'm a newby with this machine :(
