Ink not pushing through on VP540

Post by sankovich17@hotmail.com » Sat Mar 23, 2019 4:36 pm

Hi there,

Hope all is good..

I have been having g problems with my VP540.

The blue started playing up and the print head was bad so I decided to pop a new one in. The print heads seems not to be pushing the ink on the black and cyan throw, I've loaded the dampers and changed the fuse but still nothing. Am I missing something ? What controls the pint being pushed throw the head?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

It sounds like it could be electrical, are the other colours firing properly?

Hi Kai,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah the black started to do the same, i checked the fuse and it was blown so popped a new in but still nothing.

I pushed some ink into the two print heads manually and they worked until the ink i put in ran out, so i was thinking it's just not filling the print head.

I have new caps arriving today and will check the pump and see.

If these don't work then i am totally lost hahaha (not hard for that to happen)

Anyone know an engineer based or close to Glasgow?

Cheers

I have Roland BN-20. It was printing good. One day I replaced Magenta cartridge then printed a job.
Next day there was some missing nozzle in Cyan so I try to clean but no luck to recover.

I suck Cyan from damper & install than Black was missing.
Than again I open and suck all ink one by one from damper & install. Now all of them missing.
I have decided to change damper than installed new brand new damper & did same process, but noting printing.
I removed print head &clean with solvent. Clean nozzle by injecting cleaning solvent. All good.
All cleaning fluid was coming out from head like shower. No block in head.
Reinstall everything but no luck.

When print head on capping station, I suck ink through capping station tube. All ink was coming out nicely.
I don't know why it is not printing. All damper has inks.

Can I install print head anyway? There is 8 slot in print head. 4 on each side for flex cable.
Which is correct side?
What is sequence of colour?

Please help me.
My printer was converted to MMCYK.

Hi I have a GS24 which is about two years old but has never been used. I have just tried to plug it in to see if it works and it immediately has a flashing motor error sign. Could someone please advise what I need to do to fix this. I am trying to sell the machine.

Is anything in the way of the carriage moving, you could try greasing the rail, in case the tool carriage cannot move.

Hi Kai, I have tried the motor on the rail and it moves freely. With the motor docked to the right the red light flashes and says motor error S[01]F[00. When I move the carriage to the left then turn it on the motor turns on and moves it back to the docking position and starts to flash error again.

Speak to our RolandCare team on 01275 335540, they can discuss ways to test the machine further, it could be a loose cable between the motor and the tool carriage.
