VS640i Incomplete cuts

Post by jaffen » Tue Apr 02, 2019 1:23 pm

I have a fairly new (almost a year old) VS640i with cutting problems. The problem has been there since start. When cutting small letters the printer leaves a very small bit that is not cut, and this makes the letters pull up when weeding. I use Adobe Illustrator with cutline usually 0,5 -1 pt.
In Versaworks i have eps margin set to 0.10. Have also tried up to 0.40. I have tried saving as pdf with no success. I have checked the bladeholder and tried to replace it with my old one from my SP540. Also tried different pressures on the blade. The blade are roland 45 grade, and the blade offset are 0.250. I usually print/cut on transfer materials for textiles, and have tried different brands.
I would appreciate feedback.

Could it be as easy as you just need a new blade!?
