Engraver for electrical sockets and switches plus traffolyte

Post by Lagentiumjim » Sun Mar 31, 2019 8:58 pm

Evening all, has anyone used any of Rolands engravers to engrave onto electrical sockets and switches and traffolyte labels? I was looking into purchasing one and I am looking for some advice about it, if there is anyone in the Yorkshire area who could demo one I would be very grateful, happy to provide coffee and or beer in exchange for knowledge!!

Cheers

Hi Lagentiumjim,
We have a large number of users who produce similar work to yourself. The DE-3 is the latest iteration of our most popular engraver, which has 40mm of Z travel, and can accommodate a centre vice, to hold sockets and switches. I was a little surprised I couldn't find any samples of sockets, so that is something we need to do. The attached shows a handful of other engraving examples.
Sorry I can't take you up on the beer, but the DE-3 will be at an exhibition at the NEC, starting tomorrow - https://www.signuk.com/#/ - if yo can make it over, one of my colleagues can take you through the operation.
